Socialization is a process in which we learn and internalize attitudes, values, beliefs, and norms of our culture and develop a sense of self. †¢ Gender Roles Gender Roles are complex clusters of ways males and females are expected to behave †¢ Gender roles Socialization Gender socialization is a process of learning social expectations and attitudes associated with one s sex. Gender socialization is explained with why human males and females behave in different ways and social roles (â€Å"Gender Socialization†, n.d.). - Eating Disorders: An eating disorder is an illness causing severe disturbances to one’s everyday diet. This can be eating extremely small amounts of food or simply overeating. A person with an eating disorder may start eating small or large amounts of food, but at some point, the urge to eat more or less is desired out of control. Severe distress or concern about body weight or body shape may also lead up to an eating disorder.
